EthereumPow: ETHW Core will introduce liquidity pool freezing technology to protect user assets

Time:8/17/2022 12:29:56 PM

[EthereumPow: ETHW Core will introduce liquidity pool freezing technology to protect user assets] On August 17, the Ethereum fork project EthereumPow tweeted today that ETHW Core will introduce liquidity pool freezing technology to protect user assets. After the PoW hard fork, especially in the first few blocks, ETHW tokens deposited by users in liquidity pools, such as Uniswap, Susiswap, Aave, Compound, will be used by hackers and scientists in deprecated and worthless ways Swap or lend USDT, USDC, WBTC, which will cause huge chaos to the entire network and community. Therefore, ETHW Core temporarily freezes certain LP contracts to protect users' ETHW tokens until the controller of the protocol or the community finds a better way to return user assets. The freeze will not apply to staking contracts involving only a single asset (such as ETH2.0 deposit contracts and Wrapped Ether). ETHW Core recommends everyone to withdraw their ETH from LPs (such as DEX and lending protocols) before the hard fork.

Prior to the news on August 15, the initial version of ETHW Core has been released, including features such as disabling difficulty bombs.
